soft water: ember tetras
2 ft long tank and neutral water: espei rasboras
over 2 ft long tank to 3 ft long tank and neutral water: hengeli rasboras
3 ft long tank or over and neutral water: harlequin rasboras

Tank is just over 3ft

I have
2 pearl
2 opaline
2 honey
2 golden
2 male 6 females

I currently have 6 b w tetra and im not really happy with them. Im looking for a schooling fish that will compliment the gouramis and pref something that is s e asian. Going to slowly introduce live plants.

As a side note: I wouldn't put pearl or three-spot (including opaline and gold colour morphs) into anything shorter than a 4 ft tank in the long term, nor would I keep that many species/large gouramis in a tank that small for fear of territory issues in the long term and I would keep honey gouramis in larger groups as they appreciate company.

I'd go for hengeli or harlequin rasboras with that stock, and aim for at least 15, maybe going up to 25 in the longer term.
