Hi,
After losing my female Kribensis I have decided on a pair of double red Agazzi Apisto's.
They will be going in my 20 long.
As far as I have read a pair is ok, two females or two males not so much.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
I have four Oto's and six harlequin Rasboras.
I will raise the temp to 78.
Thanks
GG

If your pair breeds the Otos better stand clear. I would keep the pair in very soft water. Most Apistogramma species want soft, acidic water. It will extend their lifespan.

What is the GH of your water? BTW there is just as much chance that the male will kill the female or vice versa. I have been there.

Why not a trio of gardneri killifish? 1 male 2 females

They can be spicy, but not overly. They shouldn't be a problem for your current tankmates

I will check those out. Thanks.
They aren't aggressive?
Well . . . . it depends on the individual fish themselves . I have them now and they get along swimmingly but I had them once in the past when an overly ardent male drove the female incessantly in his ardor .
Here’s a not so great picture looking endwise into a five gallon aquarium . I have three spawning mops in there , the filter and no substrate . The fish don’t bother each other and right now there are a half dozen fry of various sizes growing up alongside the parents who don’t even seem to notice them . There are two adult pairs in there . In a five gallon !
