Which Heater Is Best For A 4Ft By 12" Tank?

I have a 50 watt heater in my 4ft tank which i new before isn't powerful enough but i just upgraded from a 95 litre so all i had is a 50 watt.
How much power in watts is best for 4ft x 1ft tank?

1 watt per liter or 5 watts per gallon.

How many gal or liters does it hold? Dimensions are usuless when trying to determine the proper wattage of a heater.

I guess i could just work it out lol.
