I have a 10 gallon empty tank that I wanted to make into a saltwater tank. Im not sure you can have anything in it since its really small but if you guys have any tips and ideas on where to start please tell me.

I would suggest as a first step you going have a chat with a LFS near you who have a marine dept. Don't take all of there advice as gospel though as there is a lot f conflicting info out there. You may find my thread is partly useful for you click here. I am in the process of researching, planning and setting up a 15 usg nano so some of the info may help.
The best advice I can give is to take your time and plan as far ahead as you can to avoid making mistakes that will be difficult to fix or spending money on equipment that will be of no use in a few months.
