What's Your Favourite Fish?

I love balloon mollies, they're so cute! The way they swim around awkwardly... it's pitiful, but cute :D

My favorite SW fish is a clown triggerfish. Before I die, I'd love to keep one.

I'd love to have a sw tank, some really gorgeous fish. Don't think I'm experienced enough yet, very expensive as well

I think peacock African cichlids are stunning. This is depending on whether or not my opinion is limited to just freshwater. :good:

No limitations all fish are welcome

I'd have to agree with the folks who like Balloon mollies. Their waddling style movement is quite charming and they seem genuinely interested in interacting with people, although it could be just be a begging behavior. =)

I am also quite fond of the Satanoperca Leucosticta cichlid. The earth eater behavior and it's ability to 'stand up' to much larger fish are very fun to watch.

I also like fish that have an abnormal 'orientation', I.E. Leaf fish, Archers, Upside down catfish, headstanders, etc.

How big is your tank,, for a Iridescent Shark Catfish (Pangasius catfish) you would need a huge tank, they get over 3 feet long. They need to be kept in numbers as well, they don't thrive as well if kept singly.. ;)
It all depends on the species; while rarely (if ever) traded, fishbase notes a Pangasius sp with a maximum size of 8". Also, no one I know of has seen one larger than 18" in captivity, so they may not grow so massive in the home, much like African tiger fish and cigar sharks.

As to favourite fish, always going to be the frogfish for me:
