have been searching for a while now for an id on this fish...can anyone help??

It does actuly look like the ones stated above.

the coulers look like a South african cichlid?

saw some in the LFS some time ago..

i like the coulers though..

Krobia sp Red Cheek Where did you get them from? One of my fav fish, wanted some for my tank but could only find one place in UK with them. Gorgeous fish if it is them bit pale at the moment but I can see the markings on the cheeks on the top one and second one.

darn i cant decise which one looks like them more??

As they colour up they will show you what they are, how long have you had them? They look a little stressed in the pics so as they calm down. If their faces go orange and their scales get an orange/red edge its the krobias

ive had them around 2 months now but the pics were taken a few days after i got them (the last pic was the one on the advertisement for them, i got 7 for €5)

either krobia sp. xingu or krobia potaroensis (previously aequidens potaroensis)

maybe you have a mix of krobias and not just 1 species?

that could be possible, i remember the guy saying they were of the aequidens family? many thanks for all the help!
