Whats My Warning Point For?

A lot of the warning points came from old things pre-upgrade, and persisted. Some of them, I believe, weren't even warnings. Some of them, we have no idea.
 
Given that only us and the individual can see them we've been generally ignoring the random ones rather than try to chase each individual one down and remove them if they become a problem. If we do get a problem it's fairly easy to trace the valid ones from the random ones, as we can see the origin of the valid ones.
 
I'm sure Chad can sort out your random point for you. I'll point him in your direction.

Previously when points where given a reason wasn't recorded and no expiration of points was set so people who got a point years ago still have that point. That you have a point, by the way, only shows up to you and the moderators, not other members can see that, they can only see their own.
 
Under the new system points are standardized with the same point value, restriction settings and expirations for everyone so that it's a fair and even system of moderation across the board.

We have so few infractions on this board anyway that it's just silly to keep ones around that aren't even documented and have probably been there for years.

It seems to me that game and fan forums have the most infractions (and some have frankly mean mods and admin), while animal-related forums are generally much more laid back and peaceful. Wonder why that is...?
