Veddy interesting as Artie Johnson would say .
We all have things buried in our past we aren't proud of. I for one appreciate your vulnerability. Perhaps it's time we destigmatized 70s fashion trauma...Artie Johnson? The last time I thought of him I was a teenager wearing striped bell bottoms and thinking that looked good.
NO, I reckon we deserve all the pain our poor choices give us. It builds character, and makes us aware of the danger of these things returning. I don't have to fear the return of my haircut, as I've developed a somewhat wider part since then. I weighed 155 at 6"3 and my friend weighed 150 at the same height, with flowing curly hair to the base of our rib cages, old suit jackets and tight flared pants. We were walking talking string mops.We all have things buried in our past we aren't proud of. I for one appreciate your vulnerability. Perhaps it's time we destigmatized 70s fashion trauma...
Striped bell bottoms DO look good . I love the old hippie fashions of the 1960’s and 70’s . I’m sort of trying to revive it a bit in my own personal sphere . I’m letting my hair grow out with no plans to cut it . EVER ! Now after reading this I think I’ll find myself some flares and bell bottoms and a few super wide lapel shirts . Maybe even one in velvet . I don’t like modern style .Artie Johnson? The last time I thought of him I was a teenager wearing striped bell bottoms and thinking that looked good.
My buddy Luc had a blue velvet suit jacket.Edit : The old suit jackets ! Thanks for reminding me about that Gary !
Artie Johnson was an old time comedian featured , most memorably , on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In . He played the German soldier hiding in the thickets smoking a cigarette and when asked about something would reply “ veddy interesting but schtupid “ .I have no clue who artie johnson is but i have a very old corduroy dress suit that is approx 50 years old.
I used to love it when the MST3K guys would quote that line...Artie Johnson was an old time comedian featured , most memorably , on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In .
