What's In A Name?

Well I am small and quite a while ago I had a friend ( a rather larger friend I might add) and he decided instead of the song "Simply the best" I was shrimply the best. It stuck for a while and although I don't get called it anymore I still use it on all the forums. :good:

Underwurlde - name from a game that I enjoyed playing when I was a kid (MANY moons ago) on the ZX Spectrum - for some reason I like the spelling?! It kind of applies to fish, underwater underwurlde....

A pint of beer /pint of sweets in the post to the first person who can tell me what my avatar is a picture of!!!!!

Well it can't be from a ZX speccy game because there are more than 2 colours in it lol.

Is it from a game cover of something like Galaxian or something?

Well my nick comes from the very first day I used the internet way back in 1992. In getting my connection set up I was asked for a host name. Having just finished reading a Terry Pratchet novel, inspiration struck in the form of the dyslexic dwarf that sang about glod. Before that my "handle" on BBSs had always been spider, but that seemed too popular on the net ;)

Since then the nick has spread... I even know people IRL who call me glod to my face, lol.

btw, my name is Les.

I'm a classical musician, I want to write for film as a career. Sibelius is simply my favourite composer. He was a Finn! (very fitting for this forum!)

I go by many names all over the place.... OohFeeshy, from The Meaning Of Life game 'Find The Fish'. Which is oft shortened to feeshy. Other names include...

Balthazar- Cool name, arose from our Xmas nicknames in Chat, Balthazar is the coolest of the three wise men.
Beezlebub- A recent addition, someone else changed their name to God, I changed mine to that, found it wasn't registered and... registered it.
Bob- The universal noun.
OuiOui
Spanner- A cruel play on my name...
Almighty Yucca- After the deity.
Occasionally Latin themes come in with names such as Lesbia (poetic name for Clodia) and Palaestra (you don't want to know what that means...).

Others exist, can't recall them now.

Well - My name is Nina. And I frequently have moments of random dim-ness, just like Dory in Finding Nemo - a natural blue.....

Mine is kind of dirty... Nuke=part of the male anatomy... one.... kitty=part of the female anatomy... it also doubles because I can't stand cats.

Nope.

OK, before I have to consider the logistics of actually posting said pint, the answer is:
Dr Mobias' monster from (his) id in the 1956 film, Forbidden Planet.
