Came back form school today to find one of my torch heads covered in a brown layer. The ohter head isnt out at all. ANy ideas whats happened? Anemone, fish etc are fine....
Will post a pic and water tests later, but i did a water change yesterday. Its been in the tank for about 3 months. Ay ideas?

You need to remove the infected heads. That stuff is reffered to as "brown slime" and will kill a any heads it infects.

Ive removed it today. Poor clowns seem so upset after their favourite coral has gone....
Cheers for the help :good:

Whats the flow like in your tank?
Low flow is the biggest connection to that syndrome (for an established coral).

When my xenia got this same disease it was a transition from low to high flow that apparently set it off.
