I got two 5.5Litre Aquariums, I have no idea what to put in them, Obviously they have filters, lights, heater etc and of course they would be planted, They only have One CREE L.E.D, but java fern/anubais grows great under them! never tried java moss, so they would be lowtech planted, Any ideas what I could stock them with? Thought they would look nice side by side!

Many Thanks in advance! Luke.

Shrimps and snails in one tank?

Betta in the other tank?

No fish suitable for those size tanks so shrimp and snails and plants :)

Ah, i misread that, thought was 5.5 gals, my mistake.

Take Betta off that recommended list i did earlier, the absolute minimum tank size for bettas is 2.5 gals / 10 litres, in fact i prefer seeing Bettas in tanks of at least 5 gals / 19 litres.

So, i do agree with Ninjouzata that snails, shrimps and plants are only suitable for a 5.5 LITRE tank / 1.5 gal.

What spieces of shrimp and snails? and how many of each? I know they have a low bioload but still..My Lfs stocks most spieces of shrimps and I can always order snails online! On the box when I had to tanks, It showed tiger barbs in the Tank! Cleary you cant keep them in this size tank! so misleading to some people. Thanks Guys!

A general guide for average size shrimp >3cms is 10 per gallon, so yours could hold about 15-20.
