Hi all,

So I have had 2 apple snails in my tank for over a year, and a month or so ago they laid some eggs. This has happened to me before and most of the babies got eaten up before they could grow and I only had about 5 survive, I gave them away to friends and family.

This time however it seems they have all survived, so I have over 100 of them! Some are still tiny, some are about 0.5cm, so I think there were two batches of them. I have since found a 3rd clutch of eggs and I have got rid of these.

Now my problem ... What do I do with them? I was not expecting so many to survive from previous experience.

I live in the UK, in the London area, I have phoned my local fish shop but they say they cannt take any due to treatments they use, does anyone know anywhere that takes them? I guess I could sell on eBay ... Anyone with experience of this or any better ideas?

Thanks.

Sell them on fish forums. I sell plants on fish forums I shrimp them around the country.

Snails would be easy to ship so just start selling them and try shipping them.

I am still looking if anyone knows some aquatics shops around London that will accept these either for credit or cash. Thanks!
