What To Do With A 37 Gallon Tank?

A 4ft will open up alot of options really.

Haps and Aulonocara may be a little big, but it would be perfect for Labs, Socolofi, Acei's etc.

I got the okay on getting a standard 50 gallon tank, 48 inches long, 12 inches wide, 18 tall

really like aceis and labs, and bumblebees which seem too aggressive for the other two in the mix. would a group of labs and aceis work in such a tank, maybe some catfish, and perhaps a soloist african cichlid on the side (if there is such a thing)?

Synodontis Multipunctatus or Petricola would work.

Labs and Acei's would be a good mix.

Alot of people keep Red Jewel Cichlids with Malawi's to get some red into the tank... I wouldn't, but that's up to you.

Not a fan of red jewels. I'm with you on that

I love them. I think their colouration is so intense, but so is their behaviour!
