i just got a reall good taste of how nasty these fish are(or can be)right now i have him/her in a 29g.i was doing some rearranging in my 90g and pulled out a shell to put in the 29g but i didn't notice that my clown pleco was still in it,when i went to check out the 29g there was the pleco getting nailed by the pulcher  i did manage to get the pleco out(doing fine)but now i realize that i won't be able to keep this fish,which...is my favorite :-( i don't want to just give it away :/
i've been trying to get some info on sexing these fish coz i figured the only fish i'd be able to keep w/it are same species/opposite sex.
do i have any other choices?
do they all get this nasty when they'r older?

the only really accurate way to sex a fish is to vent it. cichlidmaster would be the best source of information on it.

you could try lowering the temp a bit. lower temps make the fish less aggressive, but also mature slower. :/ if you are going to lower the temp, do it slowly.
