It would work for goldfish, or make an awesome divided tank for even more bettasBut it’s a HUGE QT tank. It depends on what type of fish @Deanasue has. (Aka bigger fish)

Divid it 11 times, 5 bettas! It would work for goldfish, or make an awesome divided tank for even more bettas
Or 4) put it in storage for when she likely buys more fish because fish are greatDivid it 11 times, 5 bettas!
I don’t know what type of fish she has. It all depends on what she wants. @Deanasue needs to weigh her odds. 1( A huge QT tank that she MIGHT use a couple of times, or, 2( A huge tank tank that she could do a lot with, or, 3( Make $200+.
That was sort of step #3.Or 4) put it in storage for when she likely buys more fish because fish are great
As I mentioned in another post, people may list their tanks for high prices but most don't sell for that. Who would pay $200-$300 for a stand? Most people don’t know this. On Craigslist, people sell 55 gallon tanks for around $100. That is without the stand. The ones I could find with a 55g tank and a stand, cost around $300-$400.
Yeah, I told my hubbie the cleaning isn’t that big a deal, it’s waiting for the larger tanks to fill. I use a python too. It sounds like you do a lot what my husband suggested. Thanks so much for the input!I say split the work load over several days, so it's a minor chore each day.
I do a 50% water change on the 37g, 10g, 20, and 29g (all close together) on Monday and Thursday. 50% on the 110g Wednesday and Saturday. 50% on the 60g on Friday and 50% on the 5' turtle pond on Sunday. I use a submersible pump with Python hoses so most of the time I'm just hanging out watching to make sure I don't drain (or fill) too much.
This type is super popular: https://www.ebay.com/c/715479593?iid=192784604052As I mentioned in another post, people may list their tanks for high prices but most don't sell for that. Who would pay $200-$300 for a stand?
What happens most often is in the face of that $300-$400 listing, is somebody will come in and offer $100-$150 and the seller will say no, but a number is left with the seller, with a 'call me if you change your mind'. A week or two later, a call is made.
Yes, stand included. At Walmart the 55G is about $179.00 and stand was $97.0055g tanks cost $300+ brand new. I would guess maybe $200 for a used one.
Will you be including the stand in the sell?
I say sell it for $250? Maybe you could bump it up to $280.Yes, stand included. At Walmart the 55G is about $179.00 and stand was $97.00
You can buy a sponge filter or two for around $20.I say keep it, either up or in storage... if you do sell it remember that you arent selling the filter, and that is a huge selling point. Without the filter a used tank will not be worth nearly as much![]()
I have a 20G long for QT tank. 55G would be too large but thanks for the input. Can't you use it as a quarantine tank for larger size fish?
I have the 75G and 45G for goldfish and already have 7 betta tanks. Don’t need anymore of either of those but thanks. It would work for goldfish, or make an awesome divided tank for even more bettas
But you can get it it brand new with the filter for that price. I think $150 is fair.I say sell it for $250? Maybe you could bump it up to $280.
What about a tank with some larger gourami and maybe loaches? Just a thoughtI have the 75G and 45G for goldfish and already have 7 betta tanks. Don’t need anymore of either of those but thanks.![]()
