Just seen these guys in my yet to cycle 2.5 tank thats currently being set up.

What is this.jpg

As already mentioned, tank is not cycled, therefore no fish in this tank yet, a few plants and a fairly large bogwood.

There is a filter with just filter floss to help clean / polish the water.
The main filter has not yet been fitted as am awaiting parts for this eheim filter.

Anyone seen or know what this litlle creature are, it will stay still for a bit then moves very quick, little dashes.

Tiny little things, white, about a mm in size, looks kinda like a rocket sorta.

I know its not planeria but there may be some soon as these two tend to co-exist in same tanks, usually empty running uncycled tanks

It's a cyclops. Often confused with daphnia, but the two egg sacs at the rear are a dead giveaway

They're harmless.

Aha, excellent :)

Means when i eventually stock the tank with fish, they'll enjoy these little snacks!!

Perfect :)

The fish will love them, amazingly in one of my tanks the odd cyclops manages to survive the fish and I will see them every so often scuttling along the glass
