I spend a lot of time looking at my invertebrate tank. Several shrimp I do recognize as individuals. This one has a pale spot on its side. It is one of my bloody Maryā€™s. Do you have any idea what this is? Was the shrimp injured, as if maybe I didnā€™t see him when I was using my turkey baster to suck muck from under the gravel? Could I have chipped off a piece of his shell? It doesnā€™t appear to be fuzzy and nothing is wiggling in that area. It just looks like flesh. Iā€™ve been watching this guy for the past few days (since my last little water change) and it doensā€™t seem to be getting any worse. It just ā€œisā€. Any thoughts? Thanks so much for your thoughts and opinions. Right now Iā€™m more curious than worried.

It looks to me like some of the shell is missing, as well...I don't think it could happen with the turkey baster, though

Strange...
