I just got back from a fish auction. I got in all 1- mystery "daino(?)" you guys will have to ID, 2 large angles(my first ^_^), a trio of boesemani(it is 1 male, 2 female!), 8 young boesemani rainbows cuz..... IDK everyone else put their hand down except me. And lastly another micro-worm starter culture, hopefully I can keep them going this time. The total damage was $45.

They are all acclimating right now and I will have pics up shortly. Till then, look at my rubber eel who was sleeping upside down the other day :fun:.

lol that is fantastic sounds like you got a good deal!! I want some bigish angels now :)

I keep telling you Nelly that you need to get some! :D

Alright pics of all the newcomers. Everything should be good as long as the bows don't nip the angles and the angles don't eat the ember tetras. If that doesn't work I'll have to juggle fish around.

Mystery danio- who was in need of a home. $1 Any ID's on what he is?

I'm really happy with the females ^_^. Its almost impossible to find girls in stores. And anyway these guys run $10-$15 in stores around here

8 baby boesemani rainbows- about an inch long $13

Very nice!

I would have gone to that Auction if I did not have to work! Argh! One of these times I will go to one!

On a better note, Friday I picked up a 10 gallon tank, a very nice hood and an Aquaclear 20 filter for $15 from the guy! Can you believe that! $15 bucks is how much the tank cost new! Filter new is $30 and hood is $50! So, I got about $90 bucks worth of stuff for $15! This will be my new fry tank once my female lays again soon!

Thanks for the ID, unfortunately he won't be in a group. He was a donation I was the only one who bid on him for a $1. He was just in need of a home. He came in a peanut like jar .

I love the angels. They are really sweet and come racing to the front of the tank when they see me. I think they will enjoy their first day in the daycare.

There is always the next one FHM, perhaps you will have fry big enough to sell at that time. Good snag on the 10gal tank.

LOL- the eel is indeed real. The 55gal vid in my sig shows them moving. Typhlonectes natans is the latin name. They sleep a lot and can sleep in weird positions. It usually means they are really out of it. Usually you got to reach in an firmly move them if you want to wake them up when they are like that. Which causes them to exhale in surprise(they have lungs) and they loose all their bubbles ^_^. Usually I just let them be. The 2 min mark in the video show a sleeping male being disturbed by the girl. The angels where just as silly trying to check them out. Those fish look funny when they are trying to look down.

I also sold a the auction, mostly plants, shrimp, and some endlers. Probably broke about evenish. Was hoping to do better than that, but I couldn't pass up the rainbows. I bought all the ones at the auction.

Lovely fish you bought :good: Great photo of your sleeping rubber eel

Well the rubber eel is cute. Lol. That was my first impression when I thought... "wait, it's a rubber eel, that isn't real." Only to find out it is, so I'm back to my first impression which is, he's cute. LOLOL
