What Goes With Guppies

i have a 55Lt tank with 5 guppies and 5 shrimp, what else could i put in there, i like tetras but i know you need 6 or more, any suggestions welcome, my lfs just has colour coded stickers as to what is friendly or not ect ect, but not whats a perfect match, they are often very busy and me constantly asking daft questions must irk slightly, it would nice if i could just know what i want before i go in

What substrate you got?
I would recommend 5-6 Kuhli loaches or around 10 pygmy cory cats.

i have gravel, i've just googled Kuhli loaches, they look like colourful worms, they are awsome and sooo me, (i like to be different) but not sure they would like my tank, i dont have sand

smooth, small pebble like, i did consider switching to sand, but never got round to it

Most loaches prefer soft substrate or sand, such as clowns, they like to sift through sand looking for food.

Ah I think kuhlis will be okay with your substrate.

thank you they do look quite awesome, i might change to sand in the future, but if they are ok on what i have at the moment, i might get a few

But they will be very unhappy without sand to sift and eat...plus their barbels might get damaged

Yeah, even if the gravel is soft, I still wouldn't do it, as they love sifting through the sand, finding food in the sand, and you wouldn't see much personality from them in gravel

ahh slightly difference of opinions, i will change to sand eventually, maybe i'll wait to get some untill after ive changed

As what you say its true, since its soft pebbles it wont hurt them and they would be as happy.
Sand is much better for them though.
