What Does It Mean...?

One of my main concerns with ordering bettas online is where the seller comes from. Lately all the betta seller's location has been things like "Bangkok." Does this mean they are actually from Bangkok and are shipping the bettas from thailand to usa? Or does it mean they bought they bettas from a breeding in thailand and are now selling them online? I'm downright confused, and I'm not allowed to buy any betta out of the united states.. plus, I'm in WA, which is downright deserted of betta breeders...

It could mean either or, bred or purchased to sell...but yes they'll come from Thailand. Why can't you buy from overseas?

I'm sixteen and my mom still needs to investigate it more. I'm just generally unsure if I can find a decent breeder from the united states.

aww, that's kinda what I figured. That's cool, she's just being safe! I bet some of the folks here can recommend breeders from overseas when the time comes. Victorea Earnest heads up the pacific northwest betta society, maybe drop her a line? She's really nice and surely could point you in the right direction...
