What are you doing today?

Okay, this may be a hyperfocus, passion, or something else, but, indeed, this poor muse became another victim of my countless dreams, words, and thoughts.

I had a day where everything went right yesterday. I have good friends visiting. I got excellent news on a health condition. I've been able to resume walking after my hip injury, and ran up stairs to test things. It worked. I received healthy looking Nothobranchius foerschi eggs on Monday, due to hatch in August, and had time yesterday to check them out and see how many had survived transit, with good results. I had six Gastrodermus napoensis and six Hoplisoma concolor arrive hale and hearty, from a seller in Montreal.

So today it's sunny, and we'll go down the coast on the main highway to a postcard town, have lunch at a roadside fish and chips place, and work our way back up along the old coastal roads though a bunch of tiny lobster fishing harbours, all of which are beautiful. We'll stop at a sandy beach and get our feet wet in the saltwater, hit a bakery and generally feel like it's vacation time. It is for the friends I'm taking around, and even if I'm retired and always on vacation in a way, this is shaping up as a real summer's day.

Monday I flew into Ohio, oh my word you would not believe the nightmare of going through TSA with 36 liters of IV bags 😂

Tuesday I met with some doctors at the Cleveland Clinic.

I’m staying with some good friends while I’m here, next week is Ms. Wheelchair USA nationals! So far my time in Ohio has not ended in a hospital visit yet, fingers crossed it stays that way.

I don't know whether to click a 😍 or a 😥 for this one. Love that you're out there doing good stuff; sad that it's so hard. Did you get any help at the clinic?

Removed a snapping turtle from the bog and moved it to a local pond with a similar population. Then went to the bank and withdrew casino money.

Thursday is Linda's birthday, and I will take her to Riverside Casino tomorrow where she will most likely play slots while I test my skill at the Texas HoldEm table. This will be followed by a nice dinner at Pennell's Restaurant a Saratoga Springs landmark eatery that is near the Saratoga Horse Track.

Thursday the local child and grandkids are giving her a surprise birthday party in the afternoon at the local golf club. I have told her we are meeting friends there for lunch so she will be surprised, I hope.

I went with “Wow ! “ after reading about the 36 liters of IV bags . @JuiceBox52 you’re amazing how you do this stuff that would cause just about anyone else to turn into a puddle .

Unfortunately the clinic was not much help, they suggested I go to Rochester NY :/

That bag was SO heavy!!

Despite no luck at Cleveland clinic it’s been really nice to spend time with my two best friends who live here in Ohio. I really need to practice my speeches though because I am definitely not prepared

How have you been? Everything okay?

A few weeks ago, I discovered more relatives and some good stories. My great-great-grandfather probably came from Hannover in the 1820s. I tried to search for any register of emigrants, but I have not found anything, unfortunately. I do not know where I could find it, definitely.

Today, two more vehicles.

We just drove through Ohio on our way to St louis. We were overnight in Columbus.

I've just come home after being at a family wedding all day to find my tank at 33°C. 😐 Fish don't seem to be happy, perhaps that's down to them not
being fed? :dunno:
