Shephard’s pie or cottage pie… whatever you want to call it

Ground beef, lots of veggies including corn, carrots, onions, and green beans, gravy mix, spices and real mashed potatoes…YUM

Looks really good! I love that you use a lot of veggies! Using beef yours would 'officially' be a cottage pie but who cares as the stuff is just one of the best comfort foods ever?

When I do this I go for distinct layers. I do my meat and most spices at the bottom of a hinged tube pan with a couple of eggs mixed in to set the meat as it finishes cooking... Ahhh.. ground beef has been previously browned, Then veggie layer with 1 egg to set set a bit.

Shepard's/cottage pies are so easy to do and SO awesome! When I do in a personal casserole it is just perfect as to dish size
