Unless they have a Display Tank which doesn't contain fish for sale they might, most aquatic shops however cant house big fish, but it really depends on the species + they usually wouldn't due to the risk of bacteria and infection which could result from the introduction of your fish, Aquatic Shops are usually quite fussy about this. What species?

You could always advertise them/it on Aquarist Classified, Preloved or Gumtree.
