... where Chops came from, No I didnt buy anything  . I just popped in to let the lovely man who gave me Chops know how he is getting on. He was genuinly suprised that Chops was still alive, let alone getting all the mischief he has gotten himself into. He was really happy that Chops is doing well I told him how greedy he was and he was suprised because aparantly Chops hadnt eaten for weeks in the shop :hyper:

Goes to sohw the stress fish can be under in LFS where conditions may not be optimum and swimming space is severely restricted. Also showes even more how much a healthy tank and clean water can do wonders for a fish. Three cheers for Chops! And many more for Lesley :p

and here was me expecting to see something along the lines of , and i bought every fish in the shop , even the retarded 1 with the gimpy fin

Wait till we see a thread saying "bought a dead fish, took it home, now its alive". I wouldnt put it past her haha :)

Seriously want an oscar now, this is not good!

Oh come on James, only half dead fish

i bought an angel that looked like it wanted to commit suicide by stressing itself out the other day!

Blimey he must have been stressed to not eat, bless him. Good work Lesley.

I wonder if you would have bought the poor little firemouth I saw in a LFS last weekend.
The poor s%d had hardly any fins left, they'd been almost completely stripped down to the base by some Tiger Barbs in the tank. I was tempted, but thought it may be too far gone, and the transition to my tank may be too much, plus not sure if the fins would actually grow back.

guess the angels attempt was a near success. he lodged himself between rocks, and he was almost dead, so he just got flushed :-(

Did you just say you flushed "an almost dead" fish, if so you are one sick person. No fish should be "flushed" whether they are dead or alive for starters. I'd reconcider some of your morals within the fish keeping world. Flushing a fish that is technically alive is just sick, that is the impression you gave with your last post.

Should be a big no no in anyone's book....Aston, what were you thinking? If the fish was nearly dead it wasn't actually dead then was it...you may have been able to bring it well and truly back into the living again with lots of water changes and care and attention...

I agree with others, really hope "flushed" is a metaphor and not that you sent a poor fish to a slow death in the sewers!
