My 60L Cube

Looking good! Plants look really healthy as well.

Thank you!
And yeah they are! I'm happy how it'd turned out so far, still need some more plants to fill the gaps with... and then it's just a waiting game :)

What are you thinking of going for? Very true, its definitely a waiting game. I have moved plants around in my 60L 10+ times by now just to get the look I want! I'm never 100% happy

I'm not even sure what I want to go for lol! I just take random plants I like the look of 😂
I just wanna to fill the back out since there's gaps and it's... empty...

Lol I feel you on that one! Never happy 😂

Tank has cleared up really nice. Really can't wait for plants to fill in! Going to be so nice :D

Found a dead shrimp.. and a molt... Bad molt related to their move? Seems to be the only one at least.

Rest still walk about feasting, some stand still doing nothing but breathing (a bit fast).

Another dead shrimp... At this point I have to test the water and see if something hasn't spiked. I thought the first one was a one off :(

I found that shrimp dying when introduced into a new tank is common, well IME. I think it's down to the shrimp just not being able to adjust to its new environment. Failed moults were a big killer during the two times I had Neocaridina shrimp introduced into an aquarium. After a while, the hardier ones thrive and restart the colony.

Well... I'm the one at fault here tbh. Probably gave too much food, plus large stocking at once and still pretty much a new filter...

Definitely a reason they're not eating well too.

TEST TUBE TURNED TO GRAPE SODA ☠️😭

Water change done, took out 20L. Now I let it run until I come back from work tomorrow, do 10L water change depending on results (this will be fun lol).

Also took the opportunity to trim my hygrophila, and nasty looking ends of my probably dying vallis.

Craving to go out for more shrimps on Friday... At least I know what to expect and what to do.

Updates on water quality soon..

Definitely on the verge of lowering. I'll see after work tomorrow, and probably do another 10L water change. Nitrite's still grape soda...

Either another dead shrimp, or it's an already deceased one that hasn't been eaten yet... All the dead shrimp seem to rock the White Ring of Death. So I'm assuming I got a bad batch, the stress prompted them to earlier molts or maybe something was wrong with sellers water or something. I'm not sure, regardless of that, rest don't seem to be having the ring.

On the good note tho, cycle seems to be progressing. Ammonia is very nearly gone, nitrite seems to be still having lots of fun...

I gave them some of the stick that was broken by RoyalMail (long story short, they opened the parcel and absolutely destroyed it then tried to hide it). And they went to town 😂
