My 60L Cube

What seller was it? Proshrimp? Are the plants you received looking ok?
Pro-Shrimp, yep. How'd you know?

And haven't received the plants, since the box with them was left downstairs in the communal corridor. I came down and well, what do you know, it got stolen 🫠

Proshrimp is very popular for plants in the UK, so I naturally assume it's what people use + they use RM. I myself have spent a fair amount on that site over the last few years.

It does hurt a little to see this list

Damm that's unlucky  . I have gotten refunds before for singular missing items/damages, but never a whole package. IME, they have been easy to work with in matters like that. With it being a whole package, they may claim RM is at fault and that you should contact RM. Knowing RM however, they probably won't do anything in regards to refunds.. Recently, they've been going downhill in terms of customer service. You could mention that the intercom was never rung, or there was no IRL acknowledgement that a parcel was delivered, and see what they say.

I'm honestly upset with Pro Shrimp.
They will never answer any of your questions, unless you won't get what you paid for. Like when they didn't pack my water sprite. It's really rude and doesn't build trust.

Royal Mail hasn't been even acknowledging any of my complaints. This isn't the first time they left any of my parcels downstairs for them to be stolen. Once I fought for a replacement for a good two months, both RM and eBay being useless into oblivion...

RM has became so incredibely incompetent... They shouldn't be called 'Royal' anymore, it's shameful when they do what they do.

Unless they're bought out by Evri? lol

I know this doesn't help with these plants, but if you ever buy more look at AquaEssentials. They sell shrimps safe plants and they offer two delivery methods - RM and DPD, which of course is more expensive than RM but more efficient.

I'll have a look at that seller, thank you.

Pro-Shrimp is too incompetent. I sent a complaint about my parcel being stolen, YESTERDAY. To this time there's still no reply.

Of course I had to open a case with eBay, as expected Pro-Shrimp didn't bother responding.
Neither did RoyalMail, as expected....

I just hope to get my money back. Otherwise, I'm ordering more shrimps (much different seller now) tomorrow :)

Or maybe I should get down to a shop and get them there? Could then get some plants right away, but taxis will cost me in both ways :D

That’s a bummer. I ordered 20 neocaridina from an establishment called Shrimpy Business. The shrimp were supposed to arrive by overnight shipping. However the shrimp arrived two days later and I was out of town. When I returned the shrimp were dead. πŸ’€ The shipper refused to reimburse me. However the seller not only reimbursed me for the shrimp but also for shipping costs. I lucked out.

It indeed is a bummer, I really wanted these plants :/ It is what it is, learned my lesson to never trust sellers (until they prove themselves etc of course, I'm very fair) and shipping services (these guys specifically.... grrr!)

Noooo poor shrimpies! :( :(
I'm always more of bummed out when it comes to loss of life. I can't stop thinking about the plants just laying in someone's trash can and just slowly but surely dying...

Currently looking at the seller's l.sessiliflora, bacopa monnieri and bolbitis on wood piece.

But I'm heavily debating the bolbitis on wood as I worry it wouldn't fit in the bald spot with other plants especially. And wondering if shouldn't get rotala rotundifolia instead of it.

Mainly as the wood will be a different shape and size than on the photo.

That bolbitis is on spiderwood. I didn't hear good things on spiderwood.

Do you already have a piece of wood that work in the tank? They do sell B. heudeloti in a pot which could tie to wood yourself. Also B. heteroclita difformis, though I've never tried that plant .

Edit to add - they don't say anything on the listing for bolbitis on wood, but in their article about bolbitis on lava rock they say you have to rinse the rock then attach the plant yourself. I wonder if they supply the wood options separately as well? If they are sold unattached you'd still have to attach it so you may as well get a piece of wood you like and use that.

I have small wood pieces in between the seriyu rocks. But I'm just thinking about filling out the hole at the back, and unsure what I want to do with it.

The bolivian helanthium has grew in, helanthium tenellum on the other hand has been melting. Doesn't seem like it'll make it, but I'll keep it in and see.

This is the bolbitus I'm talking about:

One thing to add on Bolbitus. IME, I wouldn't recommend it as a background plant especially if the water is quite tannin stained and you have a black background. I made the mistake of doing that. Never saw the plant unless lighting was on full, which = increased algae  But honestly, it is a great plant and one of my favourite epiphytes.

This was after a WC so the water was clearer.

That is true... My vallis is barely visible like tjis, and it looks like it's dying (it's not) lol

Another dead cherry.
I honestly have no idea why they're dying, there's nothing with my water :(
