I knew I should have avoided the betta shelf, but the bf pointed out this cutie - and I was smitten!!

We put him next to another boy for a second to check out his feisty-ness, and turns out he's a much more passive wee one, and hence the name Obi.

He's really quite peachy in person, and has wonderful dark eyes - I'm hoping he won't change colors on me...

I bought a female that would go perfect with the blonde colored betta today. That is what I done went for blood worms and came home with three bettas, then went back again after another tank for the male betta that I got earlier and came home with betta number 4 today..

Who knows, Hanako? I got some add ons with a fish from Aquabid. Little babies described as Yellow Long Tail Plakats. It started a debate in the thread. The picture of the father certainly looks more VT than Plakat.

Hm yes they do bear quite the similarity! But the father's irridescence down his rays look really nice and more even . I think he looks part plakat, since he's not flaring, but still has a fairly perky-looking caudal (er I'm by no means an expert though). All in all your bettas = B)


Auratus - aw thanks, he was my first betta! He's changed a bit since I first got him, he used to be such a cute runty guy:

I would be hard put to choose a favorite. Grumpy is soooo exotic. And I love long drapy fins. Is Deuce DT HM? Yum. A nice variety.
