Went to my LFS today and got 3 more Julii Corydoras, and a bag o’ plants; literally!

I got: Crypts (2 different kinds), Valls, and this mystery plant that I have no clue what it is. Once I get them in the tank, one of you guys may be able to ID it.

As of right now, I’m going to be adding all new plants to my 20g long. I just feel like the 29g tank should have more room, and it is a taller tank, so it’s harder for the light to reach the plants properly.

I was speaking to some other members yesterday about root tabs for my crypts/Valls. What do you guys use? I hear that Seachem root tabs are pretty good.

*picture will come later. ;)*

All planted! I’m going to wait for a while to get a picture though.

Do you guys think it would be a good idea to add the trash LED strip that I had on my 20g long tank, on my 10g tank? (Along with the lamp that is already on there.)

The plants are all growing forward and I don’t like it.

I like Thrivecaps, made by the same company as Thrive liquid fertilizers.

Ok I give in, here’s a picture:

It doesn’t look that good to be honest, but the plants haven’t had that long to establish themselves.

The “mystery plant” can be seen in back left corner and right/middle side.

Mystery plant looks like moneywort to me.

hmmm mystery plant looks more like Pennywort to me. I have some in my 10 gallon. It grows really fast and looks great!
Ok great! I was afraid it required Co2 or something, lol.

I assume it has a root system once it established itself? I just stuck the bunch in the sand.

I’m going to another fish store tomorrow, so I will see what they have there as well.

My LFS didn’t have any Amazon swords, and that’s what I was looking for.

The Valls seem nice and healthy. I’ll definitely need to get some root tabs.

Hmm now that I see the close up I'm not 100% sure it's Pennywort although it may be. It looks very similar. If it is then yes it should establish a good root system once it settles in.

Difficult because there are very similar plants like this what look alike.

Im not convinced on Pennywort, the leaves tend to be a bit bigger.

I think its either a specie of Bacopa or maybe micranthemum umbrosum??

I’m not sure...

It does have those signature bubbles, lol.

Why don’t you fill the tank all the way up? It’ll look better that way.

Also I just got 2 blue light from LFS for free!
I still don’t know what to do with it ;) @PheonixKingZ
