I have 2 bala sharks and 5 green tiger barbs, everything is going great with them but I have a quick question

these 7 fish basically follow eachother everywhere, is this normal to have 2 different species of fish always huddled together?

Try watching the tank from across the room, my fish used to do that when they were frightened, it turns out they were scared of me getting all close to the tank. Also, how big is the tank? That could be an issue.

it doesn't matter if I am close or far away, and I don't think they are scared, I think that is just what they like to do
the tank is 40 gallons
before anyone says 40 gallons is to small for the sharks, I know thios and they will be rehomed when they have grown a little bigger

I guess they just like staying together then, I don't see anything wrong I was thinking, with the tank size, that maybe the tank was too big to too small. Too big, they'll feel a little unsecure, especially if it were open, and too small, they would be trying to school normally but they didn't have room. :fun:

I don't think you have anything to worry about, it's just what your fishies want to do, :good:
