None of my LFS’s have tanks above 150l so it looks like I will be going on line for a tank. Does anyone have any recommended reliable sites that see large volume tanks?

I am looking for something that includes a stand.

So far http://www.aquariumsdelivered.co.uk/catalo...lver-p-792.html looks ok with regard to cost.

I am trying to avoid juwel aquariums due to personal experience with the lighting they provide. And form other reviews that say the high capacity tanks have a habit of splitting the bracings.

I like the look of a Baolong RRHA1500 Curved. Does anyone have any personal experience with this brand. It seems good as it comes with two Fluval 305 External filters and heaters

It says that the workman ship is not as good as Rena but they are a little expensive. How ever is this extra cost justified?

I bought a tank that was 20G from www.rocketrading.co.uk. I know they do 350litre tanks and such like but not sure if they do bigger than that.

I looked at this tank too and am still tempted by it. Just have to convince the wife. I am also looking at BOSS aquatics up in falkirk to make a tank for me. They are fairly good price wise but would have to buy the filters and lights later.

Hope that helps

The biggest problem with buying tanks online is shipping. Because they are large and fragile, shipping is extremely expensive. It could easily cost $300 or more to ship even a medium size tank. You are best off to have your LFS order the size you want.

the http://www.aquariumsdelivered.co.uk sight says all orders that include any aquarium come with free delivery so that isn’t bad. Havn't check other aquariams yet.

My LFS is pets at home and they only display Juwel aquariums but ill pop up there tonight on the way home from work and enquire if they can get anything better/bigger.

These guys also do free UK delivery on aquariums => Seapets

as do these guys (and their prices were good when I was looking) => Online Garden Centre

Having said that, when I bought my 4 ft tank, I discovered that UK delivery (free or not) normally involves delivering the tank to your doorstep - they won't bring it into your house. You still have to get a friend or neighbour to come in and put their back out with you to get the thing into place.

I suggest you find the tank you want, at the best on-line price. Then speak to your lfs to see if they can supply it at a reasonable cost. I did this, and my local Maidenhead Aquatics supplied the tank at an extremely good price. I took the cabinet home in the car and built it, and 2 lads drove the tank round on their way home and put it in situ for me. Fabulous service! (And it was cheaper than the best on-line price).
