Got back from India Recently,
Child Labor has not changed mucjh over there - Saw Alot of things.
Bus Boys that looked no older than 6-7.
Child Waiters in Restaurants.
Water Servers in Shopping Centres.
Rock Smashers on sides of roads smashing larger peices to be used as aggregate. Saw loads of this just @ the end of the road where we were living, very young children shovelling dirt and rocks and smashing them for the road builders.
One incident stands out, We were eating in a restaurant on a pit stop ont he 8 hour drive to the airport. And this young boy was waiting for his dinner, The Guy gave his Chappattis with Salt on them, Well my Brother in Law, Lost and And shouted @ the Man to give him some proper food and if he found out that the boy had not eaten on th return journey than there would be trouble. Also my Aunt told me that she had given some money to some of the child workers in another restaurant and the minute that they got back to the kitchen to money was taken off them by there employer.

Child Labor will take a long time to go away, but in some countries its just another common thing that children work for there families as soona s they can.

ha the kids are smoking.. I guess that's not too different from nowadays. Lots of kids think it's cool to smoke.

Of course child labor is still a problem in certain places.. Who knows if things will ever change.

Hit by a train? Dude, he just fell out of the ugly forest, nevermind the ugly tree! People thinks it's cool to smoke nowadays, lots of people I know at school do it, i'm just fortunate I have non-smoking parents who learnt me smoking is bad for you at a young age.

Neal :good:

The question i'd like to know is, will people in 100 years from now, look back at us and think...wow they had a tough life. Having to work an average of 5 days a week!!!

Paul
answer is NO, this is the X-Generation, the generation of doing as little as you can get as much as you can out it. At least in the U.S. that is. But, im sure it carries over to others as well. This generation wines and complains over everything and expects everyone else but them to take care of it...I am part of this generation but brought up differently and took my life other directions by joining military. But, i can see my friends still in this state from which i grew up.

my thing is yes we grew up different times, but........................is that to say its better? My mom started cooking and cleaning the house at 10, my uncle was driving tractors and plowing the farm at 12. The other 4 children followed the same thing. The family as a whole is now a nice wealthy family with great morals. Now take kids today. They tell their parents to F* off in public and a parent cant do anything but say thats not nice......HAHA when i was a kid and I said anything smart to my mom i knew to expect the father later to whip my rear. Do I regret any of it? NOT AT ALL. Thats how you learn. NO KID IN THE FRIGGIN WORLD LEARNS ANYTHING FROM A 10 SECOND TIMEOUT OTHER THAN THATS ALL I WILL GET SO I WILL DO IT AGIAN. Dr. Phil can such my schlong. Can parents go overbourd with disipline? ABSOLUTLY. hitting in the face to draw blood or something is uncalled for. A smach on the cheeck to keep a smart mouth in check? HAHA try it with my parents and see what happens.

We have 5 cars for 4 drivers(the 5th is my dads winter car, he puts his bmw in storage over the winter)... and I haven't seen a play station in years! Times have changed! PSPs, iPods, and cell phones.

I only know one person actually whose family only has one car... and they only have one drive.. hmhm..
