Ok, every time i seem to look on this part of the forums, the first responder always asks for the water stats and by the time the topic writer gets on to tff to tell them they don't have a test kit, the fish die. Seriously guys, one of the first things you should be buying is a test kit. Even if its the strips! It's better than nothing! Its so easy, if somethings wrong with my fish, I go straight to the test kit. And then I will know if something is off so i can fix it. And if you need help with a fish sickness and your going to post, make sure you have the following(if not more):
pH, Nitrates/Nitrates, ammonia, and temperature
Now i do know this is already pinned, but honestly no one reads that. Also, THE FREAKING TANK SIZE! OMG. post the tank size. or the measurements. its insanely important. FOr every post in this part of the forum, we should have a little check box that has an option to have a fourm to fill out. Like this:
