I haven't met one that can satisfactorily explain the attraction of water to the elbow.

Actually my tank is a Juwel 180 with the internal filter removed. It came with that sticker but was second hand so don't know if all juwel aquariums come with the water level sticker.

my dads old tank has a piece of tape with a sliver of papaer on it
