Water Change

I've had this baby for about 2 months now, and I haven't did a water change since I've noticed it. Nitrates are getting a little too high. The question is, do I move the fish and baby in to a fresh tank while I clean that one?

Oh and anyone got ideas on how to get rid of snails?

feed your fish only once or twice a week, or only feed your fish what they can eat, dont let anything reach the bottom, over time ( about a month ) the snails will starve to death. then the hardest part is getting all the empty shells out....

also, right after you turn the light out, weight a piece of letuce, put it in your tank, in about an hour or so, look at the letuce, if there are snails all over it take it out and remove all the snails, repeat untill snails are no more.

Why would you need to take the fry out to clean it? My 29g Is swarming with newborn guppy fry (Re-home imminent) and I just vacuum the sand with a siphon as usual, I take about 12.5percent out twice a week.

As for the snails, lightly blanch a lettuce leaf (Or two or three or four, Iceburg is good for this purpose) Then weigh it down and drop it in the tank, leave it in over night and by the morning snails should be all over it. You may need to repeat several times to completely eradicate the snail from your tank, but it is worth a shot. Hope this helps
