all my tanks have that plastic rim, HOB's are designed to fit over it. But if you manage to get a HOB that doesnt just grind away some of the rim (not glass)...........

yeh i see what you mean now but i would be worried about cutting part of the lid out becuase of the way the lid is, il have to have a think about it, thanks again
