Very Urgent! Lumps On Platies

hmm.. id just keep treating him with bacterial and parasitic meds until it clears up. the other thing would be letting him go by either smashing him or freezing him :(

I wouldnt mix the meds only ever done that in hospital tanks.
But then its up to you but increase aeration in the tank.

although it might not be parasitic but if theresfin rot there is something bacterial going on.

could it be something bacterial like fungus or maybe its an open wound caused by an attacking fish.

Check the gills to see if they look pale or red and inflamed.

How long have the fish been ill now.

Was any of the fish flicking before the red sores and bumps. Can you list all the symtom again.

Just over a month. There is about two others with the lumps, but with no sign of the uclers.

His gills are red. but i am no expert.

Yes they seemed to always have flicked.

Male in the picture systoms:

two lumps under the skin

ucler

staying near the top of the water or hiding in the plants.

Other systoms from othe fish that died:

all above plus:

unable to balance

fin rot

Right took a look at the post from the beginning and what filter are you using as you have quite alot of fish, and it sounds like you could do with another back up filter.
I think you have a nasty bacteria infection in your tank.

I have put some of the fish in the new tank. See signature.

I have left the ill platys in the fluval duo deep 800 tank which has a fluval 3 filter.

Thats fine just wanted to rule something out.
Need stats with moving some fish.

Need stats as pale gills and flicking can be due to poor water quality.
Trying to find out if its a parasite causing the advanced bacterial infections on top.

The fish in the new tank seem fine. The swordtail gills are pink. I have n't seen any flicking.

The water stats are all normal.
