Very Urgent! Lumps On Platies

Hi

Found this on the male platie this morning. His already has two bumps under the skin. He does not look happy.

Is this one under his skin or on his scales? either way its parasitic and needs to be treated with a parasitic medication.

hmmm im not quite sure what kind of meds you got in the UK (im along ways away) try asking wilder about a decent parasitic med. this might also be bacterial as i just read that one fish had fin rot but that could be secondary...IMO a combo of bacterial and parasitic meds would be beneficial.

i have tried no.9 anti internal bacteria and melafix.

anyone from the uk with a suitable treatment.

I can only put him in a box that flots on top of the water.

Do you have any idea of treatment?

I have tried melafix and anti internal bacteria no 9.

Any signs of the fish flicking and rubbing on things.

There this but it wipes the bacteria colony out, though it never with mine for some reason.

If some fish are flicking and rubbing you could be dealing with a parasite and they cause bacterial infection on top.
Can we take a look at your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

They were all normal, last time I checked. I haven't got time to check them now.

If there flicking and water quality is good sounds like a parasite.

What shall I used to treat the parasite.

Would it be best to treat the parasite and then used the bacteria med again.
