Hi I am planning on lowering the hardness of my water so I can get some dwarf cichlids (still undecided on which), I have rad that you can use brown oak leaves to lower the hardness of my tank. How do I prepare the leaves and how many do I need to use?
I've just ordered a hardness test so I will be able to get a better idea of the hardnes of my water now, I also have 2 pieces of mopani wood in my tank, will thy lower the hardness?
