I've been using a "brand" to treat my fish and saw what was inside it.

Does Formadlehyde kill the bac on your filters? Clearly this bottle states its safe for "Plants, Filters and Fish".

Unsure on the answer but you are allowed to name brands as long as you are not attempting to impact negatively upon them.

You will have to be extreemly careful when using products with formaldehyde and copper sulphate not to overdose they are what I call kill or cure medications.

+1 to Star. The manufacturers have had to be pretty careful to formulate the medication with those poisons at such a strength as to nuke whatever it is that it's treating (parasite, fungus, whatever) but to be weak enough that the fish and filter bacs will survive.

Very often there are people posting in the Emergencies section saying that they've got an ill fish, don't know what it is, but they've treated with an anti-fungal med just to be on the safe side. Effectively what they are doing is poisoning an already-weakened fish, and they wonder why the fish died.
