does your archer fish live healthily with the other fish like the cat and the angels etc???, just that some many people say that the archer is a brackish fish etc, but i had one the last timei had tanks and it was perfectly fine in fresh water and was great in a community tank

yes fine scott, no fighting what so ever the only two fish that fight is the rtbs and the hatchit fish, my archer fish is a freshwater archer, been in the tank over 12 months now, he gets a bit skitish if you go near the tank when the tank lights are off.

as i say i had one last time i had a few set up in freshwater and he was an amazing fish, i used to get dead flies for him and sit them in the edge and let him spit at them, brilliant

mine has spit a few times, he likes to jump out of the tank to catch his food , always put a prawn on a bit of string, jumps out of the tank and grabs it off ya...

Its a lovely tank you have there! The discus are gorgeous, I used to keep Snakeskin, Blue Turqu, and Red Turqu.
I would love the see the Archer fish in action hunting for his grub and thats a huge piece of wood in your tank!
