Not now, no. I guess it finally decided to leave during the night... it was still in there at like 3AM

That is an adorable pic, SRC! I'm not familiar with the temperament of opossums, but I am familiar with that of raccoons so I decided against trying to herd it out of the garage just incase it was equally ill-tempered :X. I would have to had to herd it toward me to get it out anyway, since it was backed into a corner

I knew a hunter once that was proud that he thought he had shot the last cougar in California. Population control is one thing, extermination is another.

We get coyotes where I work. They can get bold in a group. (not bold with humans) They will snatch small dogs and new born sheep.

I've been seeing coons, I believe, dead by the side of the road.

But that possum pic is a stunner

Here is a pic of a baby opossum we found in our house one night! We came home from a friend's house, about 10:30 pm and were watching tv when we saw this on sitting on the stereo speaker beside our entertainment center. We have no clue how it got into the house. I was afraid to sleep for several days, not knowing if more might be around. We released it into the woods behind our house after catching it in the pot. LOL

poor misunderstood little possums... lol....

I used to hate them, but once my kids were walking to school and saw a dead one on the side of the road with babies still alive in her pouch, I couldnt help but try to rescue them... Luckily the wildlife shelter rushed right over and saved the little guys...
that prompted me researching about them, and I realized, they really are just peaceful little creatures trying to find a safe place in our world.. they mean no harm, and they arent overgrown rats like I was thinkin'... LOL.

I think they are just darling now. hehe.
Now granted, I dont want them in my house... but I'm happy to provide wood piles for them to sleep under in my yard. :) hehe

AaaaaAAAAwwwwwwWWWWWWWWwwwwww  Look at that possum in the poooooooT...omg that is adorable.

We don't get alot of run over kritters in my neighborhood..I dunno why, kinda weird seeing how we live in the woods and all, but I can tell you next one I see...I'm checking for babies. I had no idea they would survive after the mom got squished. Poor things.
