Well Pants, and I was so looking forward to our marine tank together. We shall just have to wait till you get another tank for a sump. The problem there brewyn is that your heart is too big!

I might book a ticket on the ferry from dublin to liverpool tonight, then PM you in the morning and see if you will give me a good deal on something. You dont happen to have any flat screen tv's or Faberge Eggs lying around the house that you dont want anymore.

Edit: BTW how is the sw tank coming along, do you have a post anywhere for it?

The sw tank is coming along fine but costing a fortune, the regular water changes and aditional rowa phos, and my £140 clean up crew, are all doing a grand job. the algae is slowly but surly dissapearing. I have some amazing little critters in there now, including a pr of clown fish that are more savage than my gaurd dog lol. I haven't continued with any advise from the salties as its such an easy peasy hobbie to get into.


only too glad to help fiesta out with a descent tank and get him started, but when he told me how much the wheels on his car cost, well, I wished I had asked for more LOL, only kiddin m8.

will have a 104 imperial gallon tank up for grabs as soon as I find another 6fter.

tanks, brewyn only has knocked off flat screen tv's, are they any good? Should see brewyns knocky off website, you could furnish the white house with the stuff he has! Anyway, enough of annoying brewyn (you must admit though, it is fun to annoy him). Oh, and Fiesta, don't tell brewyn where you live otherwise you'll have to say goodbye to your wheels overnight!

been workin at it all day got the sand cleaned and filled it bout half full got my fish in there and the fluval is ok cause it is only half full waiting for my new filter.

fish feel like there in a mansion also sold my old tank for £40 to my girlfriends mum hehe

You may as well fill the tank with water as this will dilute any ammonia problems etc and more water won't cause any problems with the filter. Other than that....good job

Ferris, that contradicted what I had suggested doing, put tank water in and add the same amount of declorinated water, almost like 50%water change, then add more water over the space of the next week or so untill full. his filter is only a fluval 3 on a 70 gallon tank.??? slowly catch ya monkey.

I'm confused, what's the problem with more water?

The filter will work the same with the tank half full as it would with a full tank, the bacteria in the filter won't be affected by more water and there will be less chance of ammonia spikes etc.

Am i missing something?
