I have a 20 gal that I'm hoping to add stock to. My current fish int he tank is 1 male Betta, 1 Panda Cory, 3 Juvi otto's and a female Molly.
I can't decide if I want to move all the other fish out and just section the tank of to add more male Betta's or if I want to just section off a portion of the tank for my male Betta and then add other fish to the tank (Like more Cory's and maybe some schooling fish, to make it more of a community.)

I have a 30 Gal I can put the other fish in if I decided to , I just haven't made up my mind, both options have their merits. I was wondering what opinions other's had on what I could do,

(If I went with a community what would a good single center fish be? I was thinking dwarf gourami, as that's really all I can come up with.)

My vote is for Cockatoo Apisto, male. SO pretty! But I don't think he'd like your Betta much :(

yeah most cenerpiece fish dont like bettas get rams just because they are beautiful.

Yeah I agree with Crazyforcordoras, get more than one cory. :)

Hmmm....

Cherry Barbs (5)?

I know I need more cory's, I just wanted to decide what to do with the tank before I went out and got more fish.
My 30 gal will soon be home to a Bristle nose Pleco, and I don't know how well Cory's get along with them, as they're both bottom feeders. (Same with my Otto's, I don't know if they would do better with a group of Cory's or a single BNP...)

Maybe I should section about 5 gal of the 20 gal off to my Betta and let him live there completely alone, and make the remaining 15 gallons a nice community... Possibly with Rams. I've never really looked into Ram's before.

But would the 20 gal support that?
1 Male Betta
6 Cory's
3 Otto's
X number of schooling fish
1 or 2 center piece fish? Possibly Ram's or some other fish I've never kept before.

(I'd probably move the female molly)
