Uaru

I have recently seen some gorgeous fish in the lfs called Uaru's but other than that they are cichlids and grow large no one seems to know much about them.The only thing i have manage to find in the book is that they share the same habitat as Discus in the wild.So what i would like to know is 1 dose this mean that they require the same water conditions and care as Discus.2 do they eat or damage plants and 3 are they suitable for "bumper"community tanks.Its a rare occasion for me to see a cichlid i really like so i'm hoping that i get the right answers

Nice one CM,shame that theyre plant eaters,oh well looks like i'll have to sweeten the mrs up so i can get another tank (no chance)
