But can i find that master kit in stores. my parents arent too much of a fan of buying stuff online, even if it is from a store. they dont like using their credit cards.

You should be able to get it at Petsmart or Petco If you go to Petsmart, print out the web page with the $20 and change price on it. When you get to the register tell them you have it and they will match the online price which is probably $5 to $10 cheaper than the store price. If they don't know how to do it, ask them to call a manager. I've had to do that before.

To test whether the rocks are safe for your aquarium, you pour some vinegar on it, if it starts to fizz and dissolve...it is not good for the aquarium.

I think i may just buy the sand and the test kit tomorrow. i dont need the fake plants because they wont really help the cycle right?

Alright I'm putting a poly-urethane coat on the stand, two coats actually. I'm halfway done the first, I'll finish it tomorrow then start on the second half of the stand, should I just wait on starting to buy things or should I go ahead and do that now?
