Cool website. Very easy to use. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who's used their ordering / delivery service for details of quality.

Yes me too Llegmore, but a great way to see and read, even if you don't buy..........

Iv always used Trimar in Cornwall for my mail order fish. No minimum order required and next day delivery (by 12) if ordered before 3pm the day before anywhere in the UK. They also have a 'live on arrival' guarentee. They are really good, iv ordered from them around 5 or 6 times and theyve been brilliant

Looks good also, it is just the delivery charges on both links you have to take in to account, £12/14,not their fault, fuel prices+ taxes are to blame.........

Does anyone in US use a comparable site that you have had good luck with? Finding it difficult to locate some fish I would like to have. Live Fish Direct seems to have quite a selection. Has anyone bought from them before and how was your experience?

Thanks
Steve

I found no fish there that are at all hard to find. Save yourself some shipping costs and go to your LFS. They can advise you on aggressiveness. Please be aware that aggressiveness is one of the easiest things to define. Water types required for each species of fish can be a much harder barrier to overcome in a decent sized community tank.
For Yanks15, there are fish sale sites in the US also. Among them is Liveaquaria.com, Floridaguppiesplus, Aquabid and Thatpetplace (the freshwater fish section). Many have simplistic guides like the one in the UK fish sale location. They are equally inadequate for specifying what fish can be kept together.

Thanks for the info. After keeping fish for the last 5 years, I rely almost totally on input from this board. I've been told soooo many bogus things from lf's. It's so much easier to get advise from here and have people tell me their own experiences, whether with their own tanks or where they buy fish and supplies. I have learned to do a lot of research to.

Thanks Steve

Hmm, betta listed as passive fish... Didn't go that passive on my Zebra Danios when I had them... Eating the zebras' eyes out...

Atyd have bundles/packs of fish, anyone know what size tank they are suitable for?
Those 'filler tank packs' are appallingly thought out and full of unsuitable fish in poor numbers.

I had noticed that with some of them. Like the way they include an Otto then say the pack is fine for brand new tanks. Or the way they have two corys in a pack

Not to mention tiger barbs with angels and a couple of clown loach in some of them
