Top 5 Fish !?!

Really tough --- in no particular order:

1) angel fish
2) guppy
3) gold nugget pleco
4) gold gourami
5) discus

Oh dear, this topic seems to have attracted all the big fish-lovers on the forum. Oscars, gars, clown loaches, arowanas- all the big boys for seriously big tanks. Just remember to do that research before you stock your own tank.

Is it possible to do a poll of this topic? I really want to know wat the top 5 fish are. Id say, bettas, corys, guppies, plecos. Not in any order

Too many species to choose from so a general genus/description would be:

5) Bettas

4) Loaches

3) Pleco/Ancistrus

2) Corydoras

1) Shell Dwellers

1) Discus
2) Angel Fish
3) Harlequin Rasbora
4) Corydoras (any type)
5) Black widow tetras (or any tetra for that matter!)

My top five fish i have kept/keep

Electric eel, no doubt the best fish i have kept i just love its no crap attitude and the way it aggressively attacks anything i put in the tank.

Peacock bass, stunning and powerfull, need i say more?

Freshwater stingrays, they are addictive like class A drugs, once you have one you will spend half your time working out where you can put a bigger tank so you can get some more.

Arowana's, grace and beauty mixed with power and deadly speed, like a ballerina with a flick knife on rollerskates. I intend to have at least one of each species in my collection eventually.

Lung fish, i havent had my one long but i can sit and watch this commical little fish for hours, i can see it quickly becoming one of my favourites.

ah, i guess i'll be the only one to say i am a sucker for goldfish! every time i see them at the store i start imagining huge tanks and ponds full of them. :) my favorite goldfish varieties are oranda and fantail.

other than goldfish, i like plecos, although i've never had much of a chance to own them. i had a common pleco for a while until he died from an ich outbreak. :( poor guy. he was so cute, too. one day i'd like to own a bristlenose, but my pet store doesn't carry them!

my parents used to own some angelfish when i was little. i've never personally owned any, but i did like the ones my parents had.
