Tips On Keeping A Peacock Eel! Need Info!

ok here are my questions. PLEASE answer them!:

what can i feed him?
whats a good name for him?
what kind of habitat?
is a eel condo ok for them? (eel codos are PVC pipes stacked together to make 2 or 3 stories of pipes)
i heard they're escape artists;how can i keep him from getting out of the aquarium?
how long do they live?
can they eat mollies?
what store has them?
are they really cute?
how much should i feed him a day? (answer this question for my knifefish too!)
are they hardy or sensitive?

you say you are getting one in the next couple of days but you also ask which store sells them. Therefore I'm going to presume you dont even know where you will be buying this from, so why the urgency in your post?

As Timmy-Bee states, do as much research on them as you can. A very good place to start would be Moochy's link above! Once you've read more about them, and have a good understanding if they are suitable for your tank, then come back with a more defined list of questions.

actually i did look them up. i also saw that they were escape artists so i put plastic mesh over all the holes in my aquarium

yeah good point. what i mean by wich store has them is i need a list of stores, and i already know petsmart has them. really cute ones

I know they'll need a decent sized tank with excellent filtration.

I also know they will only take live food when young and may take frozen and possibly flake when grown. Also provide a sand substrate as they like to burrow.

Thats just random knowledge I know of them.

I'm assuming that peacock eels would be classified as 'oddballs' (someone correct me if I'm wrong?)

Maybe if you started a new thread in the Oddballs section then there might be some people over there that have more 1st hand knowledge. Start a new thread and reference this one in it along with the exact things you need to know. I'd start with

Tank size required
Water parameters
Feeding requirements
Your current tank mates (to see if suitable)

i got my peacock eel today! he already burrowed and i got a vid of him! he even made friends with my knifefish!
