Hey everyone,
I am setting up this new tank and I'm looking for a tight schooling fish, Cardinal or Rummy-nose alike, that will breed easily on the tank.
I love my tiger barbs but I never got them to breed...

Do you guys know any that I could try?

If it can survive (at adult size) in the same tank as Electric blue acaras is better!

Thanks a lot!

I wouldn't keep small tetras with blue acaras.

If you want fish to breed, they are best kept in a single species tank so the other fish don't eat the babies.

Tetras need really soft water to breed and the eggs are sensitive to light so they need to be kept in the dark when laid or they don't hatch.

If you want fish to breed in a tank with blue acaras, maybe look at livebearers (mollies, platies, swordtails).

Rainbowfish will breed in any tank and the eggs can be taken out and hatched in a separate tank.
