The Uk Could Face Blackouts

If my experience of blackouts in NYC are anything to go by, I think that the cities here like London are more likely to suffer them in summer than winter.

How you gonna keep your fish cool if that happens? Can't all have generators - you think the constant noise from all your little airlines and filters is annoying!

Wont bother me, all my fish will be in the fish house 60 feet away from the house :p

You're finally moving then? When? Just so we know when to expect the fish house pics.
:D

Any comments about my idea. I'd like to know if you guys think it would work. I know you'd still have to keep the water warm but the filter not running would be one less worry.

It could work but it have to be a powerful one and I heard the battery operated ones from pet stores are cheap and are only powerful enough to airate a 10g.

We're just waiting for the sellers to give us their moving date, should be any time in the next 4 weeks :D

Thats to bad. Sounds to me you better run to the store and get a few generators and several hundreds of gallons of gas to prepare for the long haul.
There's a reason Europe is huge on public transport..
Its kinda like our NYC

Hey Ethos, you ever actually used public transport in the UK? It's pretty unreliable and can be expensive. Train fairs from London to Glasgow for me are around £200 - cheaper to drive.

The Netherlands have pretty good public transport though - fast, reliable and cheap. Don't think that their gas prices are as bad as ours though. :dunno:

Excellent news mate! You must be pleased to be getting your fish house at last. Is the missus gonna have a spider house or will they continue to live indoors?
:D

Once the fish house is ready and ive moved all the tanks out of the garage we will most likely section off a part of the garage for the mrs to keep her snakes and creepy crawlies in.

Any room in that house for an Andy? Very cheap to keep. Only needs a small tank (only reaches 69" in length) and can be fed a varied diet, though prefers beer and Steak baguette...

I hear it can even help with the setup and maintenance of a fish house, not to mention the ability to eat it's own weight in junk (food) each day ;)
